Ron McKnight passes away The death has occurred of long-serving racing journalist Ron McKnight. Based in the north, Ron was a contributor to the Belfast Telegraph for many years. He had a forensic knowledge of racing and point-to-points, and was a well-known face particularly on the northern scene. He was also of considerable assistance to journalists starting out in racing and made a large number of contacts within the industry. A celebration of Ron's life will be held in Norman McBriar & Son Funeral Home (37 Saintfield Mill, Saintfield, Ballynahinch BT24 7FH) on Monday 20th January at 10.30am followed by interment in Dundonald Cemetery at noon.
