Robbie Hennessy is set to run Space Ship at Roscommon early next month ahead of a possible run at the Galway Festival.

Space Ship, a former smart handicapper for John Gosden, has won his last two starts over hurdles since joining the County Meath handler.

Hennessy deliberately did not run him during the winter as the Galileo gelding does not act on soft ground, and he is hoping to make hay during the summer months.

"He wants good ground and that's why he didn't run all winter," he said.

"We did a little procedure on his palate and it seems to have worked the oracle. He looked very good the last day.

"He will run in a winners-of-two in Roscommon on June 9th.

"He's a lovely horse. Being by Galileo, he is definitely a good ground horse and we will keep him going through the summer.

"We'll look at Galway. There's a couple of races there he could go for."
