Treasure Rose bagged back-to-back victories when claiming the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap at Fairyhouse tonight.

The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly had opened her account at Down Royal 12 days ago and went to post an 11/2 shot to follow up.

Ben Coen got a good charge out of his mount inside the final furlong as she prevailed in the closing stages to beat Glory To Be by a head.

“Ben has been adamant to drop her back to six as she shows so much pace, I thought seven furlongs was a good trip for her,” said Murtagh.

“She has pace and she’s getting faster with a bit of racing. Sometimes with these fillies when they get their head in front once it makes all the difference.

“She had five seconds so we were scratching our heads but she’s on a bit of a roll now. She’s a fine big filly and hopefully she can keep improving.”
