Barnhill Rose provided Adrian Joyce with a notable success in the second divide of the INPBA Free Admission For All Today Handicap.

With Denis Hogan suspended for three months following a fourth prohibited substance rule breach, Joyce has taken over Hogan's licence at his Cloughjordan base.

Recording her third win of the season and her second at Roscommon, the Mayson five-year-old was sent off the 7/2 favourite in the colours of Patrick Kelly.

Soon settled in second by Paddy Harnett, the bay victor was ridden to the front from the two-furlong pole and needed to be kept up to her work all the way to the line, coming home half-a-length to the good.

The front-running Manhattan Dandy (5/1) battled on gamely when headed by the winner, but ultimately had to settle for second under Sean Bowen for Thomas Coyle.

None of the other 12 managed to land a blow, with Bellick (13/2) and Siobhan Rutledge the best of them, another three-lengths away in third.

"That's great to get one fairly quickly," Joyce, who previously trained in his own right, commented.

"She's a consistent mare with course and distance form. She’s solid and runs well all the time.

"From the two (furlongs out) to the one she was clear and then the last 100 yards she was tying up a bit but when company came to her she seemed to pull out a bit more.

"I've taken over Denis' horses. I've been down there over three weeks to get familiar with the horses and the staff and from the first (of September) I've taken over the licence.

"There is a mixed team of Flat and jump horses with a few nice ones and I'll be there for three months.

"I was considering going to Australia but I've discussed different ideas with Denis and we'll see how the next three months go before deciding anything."
