Rough Diamond has enjoyed a fruitful campaign this year and notched up his third win in just over five months when taking the William Hill Bet Boost in impressive fashion at Dundalk.

The Eddie Lynam-trained gelding led just over a furlong out and soon asserted under Ben Coen, recording his 50th winner of the year, drawing clear to beat Dream Today by three and a quarter lengths. Final Voyage kept on from off the pace to take third a further three quarters of a length adrift.

Lynam said, I'll have to say something nice about him now! There is ability there and the handicapper keeps loading him.

"He was wrong with a lot of them at the weights, but he won well again.

"I'll chat with Trevor (Dalzell, owner) and see what we do with him. We might let him off and try and win off whatever he is going to land on, he is going to be in the 90s now so we'll see."
