Royal Ascot Page poser Naas winner Great Page appears likely to wait for the July meeting at Newmarket rather than run at Royal Ascot. The Richard Hannon-trained filly made it two wins from three starts on Monday with an impressive three-length defeat of Jim Bolger's Special Focus. Sandiva won the same race for owners Middleham Park Racing in 2013 before going on to be second in the Albany Stakes, but connections feel Ascot may come too soon for Great Page. Middleham representative Tom Palin said: "We will probably stick her in both the Queen Mary and the Albany, but the likelihood is she probably won't go there and will go for the Cherry Hinton (Duchess of Cambridge) instead. "It just gives us a bit more time between races, even though she took her trip to Ireland well. "We are looking at that route, as that's what might have cost Sandiva in the Albany, the proximity of it to the run in Ireland. "She wants six furlongs, ideally, and probably seven furlongs and further in the future. "After the Cherry Hinton we will look at going to the Moyglare."
