Royal summons for Adelaide Adelaide will return to Aidan O'Brien to be prepared for Royal Ascot next summer once his Australian adventure comes to an end. The Cox Plate hero is currently in the care of Sydney trainer Chris Waller, for whom he is expected to have two runs. Adelaide's chief priority in Australia is the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick next April, after which he is likely to be shipped back to the Ballydoyle stables in Ireland. "He could become the first horse to win Group Ones in America, Australia and Europe, and that would help him in his career after racing," Coolmore racing manager James Bester told The Age. "It would be unique, no horse has done that before. "Chris has been very thorough and is a big part of any plans, and he will get him ready for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes here. "Chris Waller will train him here as part of the team and then he will return to Ballydoyle for Royal Ascot, provided everything goes to plan. "Things can change day to day in racing, so a few months is a very long time." Waller said: "He is very light on his feet and you can just see the quality in him. "It is very important for him to win the Queen Elizabeth but I want to hand him back to Aidan and say he is in great form and great shape."
