Rubi Light out of Betfair Chase Robbie Hennessy was forced to rule out a crack at Saturday's Betfair Chase with Rubi Light after a gallop at the Curragh on Tuesday morning revealed his stable star was not quite ready for the Grade 1 event. Big-race jockey Andrew Lynch was in the saddle, but he felt the six-year-old would benefit from a little extra time to recover from a viral infection. The trainer told sportinglife.com "We went to the Curragh this morning and while he has been off the antibiotics for a while and has seemed to be getting better - Andrew just thought he wasn't 100%. "To go over there against Grade 1 horses you have to be 100% as its hard enough to be winning these races when you are firing on all cylinders. "I've just entered him for the John Durkan today and we probably will go for the Lexus at Christmas. Depending on how that goes - the Ryanair or the Gold Cup at Cheltenham will be our target."
