There wasn't any hiding place in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Handicap Chase and the George Kingston-trained Ros Brin was fully deserving of her success under Davy Russell at Fairyhouse.

One was ready to pen another piece in adoration to Paul Carberry as he conjured some great leaps from Down Ace up front.

She was coming to the end of her tether though when getting the last wrong.

Twelve to one chance Ros Brin was looking strong at that stage and the daughter of Brian Boru went on to triumph by two and three parts of a length as the front pair left the well-backed favourite Speckled Wood and company all of fifteen lengths and more behind.

"It was a wonderful ride by Davy. She had a blip at Christmas last year and needed her two runs back," acknowledged Kingston.

"Bobby Molloy rode her in a gallop at the Curragh last week and she came alive after it.

"There is a race at Navan in a fortnight which may come too soon. We'll see how she comes out of this first and we can also look at Christmas and the Leopardstown Chase."
