Russell fined €200 for Downpatrick no show

Dual Champion Jockey Davy Russell has been fined by the Downpatrick Stewards for failing to provide a satisfactory explanation for his failure to present himself for his ride on Coldstonesober at the track today.

Russell, who was fined €200, failed to present himself at scales to be weighed out for his nominated ride on Coldstonesober in the handicap hurdle won by Hero De Villeneuve .

In other Turf Club related activity, Robbie Colgan received a two day suspension for using his whip with excessive force and frequency on runner-up Better Back Bob in a maiden hurdle,
