Davy Russell was stood down for the rest of the meeting at Down Royal following a fall from No Dice in the opening race.

The Gold Cup-winning rider was reported to be "sore" after the tumble at the fourth-last fence when leading on the Tony Martin-trained 2-1 favourite in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Novice Chase.

As a result, Russell, who won the Grade One Arkle Novice Chase on Some Plan at Leopardstown on Sunday, was forced miss his remaining three rides on the card.

The rider was reported to have suffered a soft tissue injury on his wrist.
