Ryan's Gaffer another to make all at Clonmel My Gaffer made it a hat-trick for front-runners at Clonmel today when landing the Killusty Handicap Hurdle for trainer John Ryan. Liam McKenna got a good tune from the Malinas gelding, who went to post an 16/1 shot having been well held on his most recent outings. He had his rivals working going to the penultimate flight and galloped on strongly from the back of the last to record a length-and-a-quarter victory over Ballyglass Beauty. It was a sixth career victory for My Gaffer, who had last scored over fences at Kilbeggan last August. "It is nice for Walter (O'Connor), it is a great win and I fancied him out of the way,” said Ryan. "He had won a schooling race at Nenagh, came here fit and well and while I know he had 11st 9lb, I took the 5lb off. He is rated 122 over fences.  "He was up to three miles today and that's his job."
