Ryan Eyes Cammidge Raid Kevin Ryan could be double-handed in the williamhill.co.uk Cammidge Trophy at Doncaster on Saturday. The Listed race has a fine record for producing top-class winners and in recent years Les Arcs and La Cucaracha have used it as a springboard to Group One success. And Hambleton trainer Ryan has Ayr Gold Cup hero Advanced and former Flying Childers winner Wi Dud in the mix for Saturday. Wi Dud finished second to Dutch Art in the Middle Park as a juvenile, and while he found life tough last year, he ran some cracking races in defeat, most notably when a three-length fifth in the Nunthorpe. "He´s a stronger horse this year and it was always going to be very hard for him last year so we didn´t overdo him, we´re looking forward to him this season," said Ryan. "He doesn´t know how to run a bad race and he´s very genuine. It´s always very difficult for these sprinters at three and it´s all in front of him now. "I wouldn´t want the ground too testing though and if the rain did come I don´t know if he´d run, he won´t want a very hard race first time out. "The Duke Of York would be one of his targets but we´ll keep our options open. "Advanced seems to have strengthened up a bit more again this year and is in great order. "We´ve done as much as we can with him at home and when we run him we´ll see how much he has improved. "He won´t mind cut in the ground and he´ll definitely run. "Neil (Callan, stable jockey) will probably leave it until the last minute to decide who he rides, they´ll breeze in the morning and he´ll decide then." (C) PA Sport
