Ryan Moore looks ahead to his mounts at Newmarket today as part of his role as World Pool Ambassador.

Newmarket | Race 1: G3 Cornwallis Stakes

I'm riding MARCO POLO in the Cornwallis.

He ran in the Middle Park on his last start, where he was disappointing, but was far too free on the front end, so there are excuses for that.

He won a maiden nicely at Cork prior to that and hopefully he can get back on track.

Carry The Flag also runs.

He's had a busy year. He was placed in the Prix Morny and has run well in lots of stakes races this season.

If the ground stays fast, it will suit him well. The six-and-a-half-furlong [1300m] trip was too far for him last time, but the five furlongs [1000m] on a nice surface should suit him.

Newmarket | Race 2: G3 Oh So Sharp Stakes

GOLDEN RING won on her third start at Dundalk when making all, and she did it well.

It wasn't the strongest of fields in behind, but she's open to improvement and looks a progressive filly.

Exceptionally joins her in the race.

She's still a maiden, but has run in some top races.

The mile [1600m] at Newmarket, along with being back on a sounder surface could benefit her.

Newmarket | Race 4: G1 Fillies' Mile

HAVEN is a Wootton Bassett filly who won at Dundalk a couple of weeks ago, and she seems to be getting better with her racing.

She faces a sharp hike in grade, but is a progressive filly.

Newmarket | Race 5: Old Rowley Cup

I rode ARCHERS BAY last time in the Godolphin Stakes at Newmarket, where he stayed on strongly behind Fortitudine.

He does have to shoulder top weight, but he has a good chance and is a nice ride to have for Marco [Botti].

Newmarket | Race 6: Listed Boadicea Stakes

LADY YOUMZAIN has run with credit in this company twice this season but still needs to improve a bit.

She might have needed the run after a break last time, so there's a chance she could take a nice step forward.

Newmarket | Race 7: G3 Pride Stakes

I follow that with another ride for Jaber Abdullah in ROSE GHAIYYATH.

She's struggled since winning on debut but could go well here, now dropping in grade.

That said, she'll need to step forward from her last run at Deauville to get her head in front.

Newmarket | Race 8: HKJC World Pool Handicap

GEORGE WICKHAM remains unexposed and ran well last time on handicap debut. He travelled strongly but was probably too far back to make an impact.

He has a good chance.
