In his recent blog, Moore gives his thoughts on his chances at the World Pool Meeting on Dubai's Super Saturday Meydan | Race 4: G3 Mahab Al Shimaal I’m looking forward to Super Saturday at Meydan, which is always an important meeting as horses build towards Dubai World Cup night. MUFASA is a nice ride to have for Bhupat Seemar. He looks a very quick horse who hasn’t quite had things go his way in three starts in Meydan this winter. If you look back to his wins in America, including beating White Abarrio over seven furlongs (1400m), you’d have to give him a chance, but he has a bit to prove on recent runs. He’s up against horses with solid course and distance form of late, so it’s going to be another big test. While Tuz is back as a nine-year-old after nearly a year off, he’s a very good horse on his day at Meydan. El Nasseeb is a good horse too, as is Dark Saffron who has been a little bit disappointing recently but has ability, while Cats By Five has won his last couple so has to be of interest. It’s also nice to have a runner from Hong Kong in the shape of Sing Dragon. He brings some solid form from the dirt at Sha Tin and is interesting. Meydan | Race 5: G2 Singspiel Stakes I then ride QUDDWAH for Simon & Ed Crisford. He won his first start in Dubai in January in a Group 2 over a mile (1600m) but was then slightly disappointing in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of February. He had a wide trip that day, though, and wasn't beaten all that far in the end. The step back up in trip should suit him but he does have a wide draw again. Maljoom is the top-rated horse in here but was disappointing in that same Abu Dhabi race, so would need to put that behind him. Alakazi has some good form in the book and looks a progressive horse for Johnny Murtagh. He ran very well at Ascot on British Champions Day over a mile (1600m) in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and was a winner on Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown the start before. You can never discount Holloway Boy in these sorts of races either, while Dividend has been in great form as well.
