The nine-year-old, who shortened from 28/1 to 18/1 on the show, scored by two and three-quarter lengths from Cooladdi. “He’s a great servant. Just this year wasn’t his year, he had his palate fired and things here and there,” said winning trainer John Ryan. “That ground is probably just what he can get away with. I’m delighted with him. “He travelled all the way and looked the winner a long way out. You could pick him out travelling.
