SANDOWN LOOK AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON Tomorrow`s jumps meeting at Sandown remains in the balance after an inspection of the track this morning. There was less rain than forecast overnight but clerk of the course Andrew Cooper is still 'not hopeful' that racing will be possible.'We will have another look this afternoon at 3.00,' he said.'We had 5mm of rain overnight which was nothing like the total that was forecast but still sufficient to leave us with patches on the hurdles and chase courses which we would deem currently unraceable.'We are not without hope but I would still say we are up against it as they are extremely hard to avoid _ it is very difficult to get round them and I am not hopeful.'Four races on tomorrow`s card are due to be shown on Channel 4, including the Grade One Gerrard Novices` Hurdle which may be transferred to Wednesday`s card at Kempton.Sandown has been badly hit by rain this season and the track has lost all its three previous jump meetings to waterlogging.
