Saddler's on course for Gold Cup John Oxx has confirmed Saddler's Rock is on course for the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot after a satisfactory reappearance at Leopardstown on Friday. He returned to action in the Listed Saval Beg Stakes and found Midnight Soprano half-a-length too good when trying to concede her ten pounds. "He came out of the race fine and only lost a couple of kilos," Oxx told At The Races on Sunday. "He had a nice race, not too taxing a race and he's been fine. He did a canter this morning and he's in good shape. He had a nice prep race as it turned out, despite the ground. It was a perfect little race for him."
