Salley set for Ascot Our Girl Salley could run at Ascot on Saturday week as connections chart a route towards the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. The Prunella Dobbs-trained seven-year-old was a fine winner of a Grade Three at Leopardstown on December 29, and is now under consideration for the Warfield Mares' Hurdle at the Berkshire circuit. Our Girl Salley suffered a late setback before the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham last season, but her Irish-based trainer is hoping for greater fortune in March. Dobbs said: "Everything is going quite well with her, and we are thinking of coming across to Ascot on Saturday week. "If we don't go there, there are a couple of races in Ireland she could go for. "We were delighted with her at Leopardstown. She has taken me longer to get her in peak condition this year, but all guns are firing now. "It's a big ask, but she'll have just one more run before hopefully heading for the Mares' Hurdle. "She got sick before Cheltenham last year but we will give it another go this season."
