Salsinah was a ready winner of the Nora Canty Mares Maiden Hurdle in Listowel for Henry de Bromhead and owner Dr Peter Fitzgerald.

She went off 4/6 favourite to build upon a runner-up berth over flights in Punchestown last month.

Darragh O'Keeffe made most on the grey daughter of Montmartre who jumped the second last with a nice cushion over Fraher Field who was less than fluent.

Salsinah seized the initiative and asserted before the last. She cleared it well and galloped on by four and a half lengths from Fraher Field (33/1). Tumbling In rounded out the placings in third at 16/1.

Darragh O'Keeffe said: "She had the form in the book, she jumped out handy, and she jumped really well.

"The ground is probably slower than ideal for her but she got the job done.

"She is a mare we've always liked, and I'm delighted for her owners that she has done that today."
