Far Hills, New Jersey is the next destination for Gordon Elliott's progressive novice chaser Salvador Ziggy.

Victorious in his first three starts over fences, the seven-year-old was runner-up off a mark of 150 in last month's Kerry National at Listowel and will be part of his trainer's American raiding party in ten days time.

“Salvador Ziggy is going for the American National," said Elliott.

“He ran a great race in the Kerry National and I’m delighted with him. I think the race will really suit.

“John McConnell’s horse (Seddon) will probably go along and we can sit second. He’s got loads of experience and he has a relaxed, easy way of going and has enough pace for two and a half miles.

“He ticks a lot of the boxes for the race.

“We have four going over all together with Calico in a fillies race, Kyogo is going for a juvenile hurdle and Say Goodbye for a mares hurdle. There is great prize-money.”

Elliott sent over Jury Duty to land the American Grand National in 2018 and 'Shark' Hanlon's Hewick won last year's renewal. This year's race takes place on Saturday October 21st.
