Samcro has Leopardstown options Gordon Elliott is looking at the new Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown next month for Samcro. The exciting prospect had been aimed at Sunday's Grade One at Naas, won by Next Destination, but a dirty scope ruled him out of the race. Samcro has two options at the new meeting, the two-mile Deloitte Novice Hurdle on February 4 or the two-mile-six Nathaniel Lacy & Partners Solicitors Novice Hurdle 24 hours earlier. "He was ridden out on Sunday morning - he did a light canter as they all do on a Sunday," said Elliott on At The Races. "He rode out as normal all week, but on veterinary advice we couldn't run and he's too good of a horse to mess with, so we'll go to Leopardstown all being well."
