Sariska A1 after York win

Sariska was reported to be in fine shape following her victory in the Middleton Stakes at York on Thursday.

Last year's English and Irish Oaks winner made a successful seasonal reappearance at the main expense of her old adversary Midday, even though the ground was considered firmer than ideal for her.

She is now on course for the Investec Coronation Cup at Epsom in three weeks' time.

"She's had a lead out, a pick of grass, she's fine. she's eaten up and taken the race very well," said trainer Michael Bell.

"She's absolutely A1 and we will now target Epsom.

"She's had a really good spring and she ran as well as she had been working."

Bell was also happy with Coordinated Cut following his run in the Dante Stakes in which he finished third to Cape Blanco.

However, no decision has yet been made as to whether the colt goes to Epsom for the Investec Derby.

"He's fine as well. We're going to sit tight for a while before making plans where he goes," the Newmarket trainer went on.

"We are not going to rule anything in or rule anything out, but he's sound and trotted out fine this morning. We are going to think about it a bit longer."
