Scott secures a first Leopardstown success Jockeys’ championship-leader Billy Lee combined with his sister trainer Gillian Scott to win Leopardstown’s concluding Sandyford Business District Handicap today, as maiden Khormor Syd (5/1) scored a deserved success for owner Dean Gordon. Arriving from off the pace, Khormor Syd led a furlong out and was then all-out to hold faster-finishing Ella’s Gold by a half-length, to give the early title front-runner a 35th success this term. Co Limerick based Scott, with her first Leopardstown winner, reported “the horse deserved it as he’s so tough. It's only this year he has come to himself as he has had niggles and little issues, but hopefully we have sorted those out. “Bill said he got there too soon but that he battled on well. He'll be out of the (0-60) grade now but if we get a run in Galway, happy days. He can go up to 1m4f as well, so he's versatile trip-wise." Quotes from John O’Riordan
