Seattle who cost a whopping 2.2 million guineas in the August Yearling Sale at Arqana a couple of years ago, got off the mark on his second start in the Navan Racecourse Maiden over five furlongs.

He brought up a double for Aidan O'Brien after the success of Gstaad in the opening Irish Stallion Farms Maiden.

The Siyouni colt made eye-catching headway off a fast pace a furlong and a-half down and stormed into the lead in the final 150 yards. From there, the 13/8 favourite went on to score by a comfortable length and a-quarter in the hands of Wayne Lordan.

Stable representative Chris Armstrong said: "He's a horse who has plenty of natural speed.

"He had one run last year in York (sixth) and ran with credit. Over the winter, he has just been progressing nicely and into the spring. He is a horse that has really developed.

"He's a horse with a bit of potential.

"Wayne gave him a lovely ride, it will do his confidence the world of good.

"We will just try and see where he fits in now.

"It (Commonwealth Cup) is the only big entry he has at the moment. I suppose you'd like to try and get another run into him in a winners' race or something, but he is a horse with potential and there's no doubt he has got stakes ability.

"He's versatile (ground wise), he handled that there today and he will handle an ease.

"I think he is a horse with a bit of class."
