Shark crosses Irish Sea

Eight of the total of just 44 runners at Ffos Las today are Irish trained, with trainer ‘Shark’ Hanlon sending over five horses.

Hanlon, whose Trabajo landed yesterday’s winners’ bumper at Listowel, is represented by Cool Newport, Asia To Cuba, Lemonade Jack, Benefit Evening and Book’em Danno. Both Asia To Cuba (7.35 handicap hurdle) and Book’em Danno (9.15 bumper) appear to hold leading chances.

Galway trainer Barry Murphy sends over Private Lives and Rickardstown while Wexford based Cormac Farrell sends Fitzgutentyte for the three miles handicap hurdle.

The first race is due off at the Wales venue at 6.00pm.
