Shawanda Plans On Hold

Plans for Shawanda remain on hold after the filly missed her intended engagement at Royal Ascot due to lameness.

The daughter of Sinndar has not been seen since finishing sixth to Hurricane Run in last season's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, but had been scheduled to run in the Hardwicke Stakes.

However, a late injury scare forced her withdrawal and owners Godolphin will wait for test results before deciding on future plans.

'She was lame and we have tested her,' trainer Saeed bin Suroor told At The Races.

'We will have to see before we decide on the future but we will give her a break.

'She seems to be getting better, we have more tests for her and when we have the results we'll let you know.'
