Mount Shenshan bagged back-to-back victories at Clonmel with a convincing success in the concluding handicap chase on the card this afternoon.

Tom Mullins' charge was a winner over timber here at the start of the month and went to post 3/1 favourite to make use of a half-stone lower mark over fences.

Sean Cleary-Farrell's mount travelled strongly throughout and led going to the second last fence.

The Shantou mare was big and bold over the last as she recorded a comprehensive six-and-a-half length win.

"She was down at a winnable mark and it is grand to get a good 7lb claimer like Sean, who has really acclimatised with her,” said Mullins.

“Getting her to settle is a big thing and we'll either go for another chase or hurdle next.

"Charlie (son) gave her a masterful ride to win on terrible ground here last year so she likes that soft ground too."
