The going has changed dramatically ahead of this afternoon’s student day meeting at Limerick following significant rain overnight.

The ground was described as good yesterday for the all-Flat seven race card but, after 17mm of rain last night, the going is now soft, yielding to soft in places.

Over 13,000 racegoers are expected at Greenmount Park today, with the action getting underway at 4.35pm. Gates open at 2.30pm.

The weather forecast is unsettled for the next few days, with the Flat action switching to the polytrack in Dundalk tomorrow evening (first race 6.15pm).

Tramore hosts a two-day meeting this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and the ground is now good at the south-eastern venue following 12mm of rain overnight.
