Silent Beauty shines in Firth of Clyde at Ayr Silent Beauty continued her progression in fine style with a determined win in the Ladbrokes “New Customers Get 50-1 Old Firm Offer” Firth of Clyde at Ayr. On the same afternoon that Kia Joorabchian’s Amo Racing secured their first winner over jumps with Dallas Star at Navan, they also registered their biggest success with their in-house trainer at Freemason Lodge, Kevin Philippart De Foy. With the field reduced to just five due to the ground going heavy prior to racing, David Egan always looked confident but had to keep his mount up to her work close home as Ruby Moon closed to within a length and three-quarters of the 8-11 favourite. “She’s a lovely filly, she’ll be nice next year and that was a tough performance. She’s a Listed winner and now a Group Three so it’s great for all the team,” Egan told ITV Racing. “She won her first race very impressively and we went to Royal Ascot really excited but she disappointed there. “It takes a lot out of a horse when they get their confidence knocked back like that. We came back, gathered her together and she won very well at Ripon, it was a step up in grade today and to do that was really important. “She’s fast, she’s by Night Of Thunder so there is scope in the pedigree to get further but she’s got so much speed. “Well done to Kevin and everyone at home, they do a terrific job and work so hard, having these big days for Amo and everyone at Freemason is really important so I’m delighted.”
