Out of luck with Akdarena in the Oaks earlier in the day, trainer/stable jockey combination Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning landed the featured Listed Silver Stakes at The Curragh today with the progressive Carraiglawn

The son of chased the leaders, led under two furlongs out and stayed well for a length win over Choose Me

Bolger subsequently reported by phone “Carraiglawn did it well, is an improving horse and will now run in the Irish Derby.”

Carraiglawn’s half brother Soldier Of Fortune himself won the Irish Derby in 2007.”
