Silverware takes big Saint-Cloud prize British raiders Eagle Top and Dylan Mouth were well-beaten as Silverwave took Group One honours in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud at the French venue. Pascal Bary's four-year-old had been firmly put in his place when third to Japanese star A Shin Hikari in the Prix d'Ispahan last time out, but was too good for this opposition. Ridden out by Maxime Guyon, Silverwave (14-1) won well enough from Erupt with Siljan's Saga third. Vazirabad, the evens favourite, had every chance, while John Gosden's Eagle Top and the Marco Botti-trained Dylan Mouth were both towards the rear. Cristian Demuro had struggled to settle Dylan Mouth behind the pacemaker in the early stages but the five-year-old stuck to his task well enough in the closing stages while Eagle Top was more patiently ridden but failed to pick up as well as the principals.
