Simon On Course For National

Simon is reported to be in fine form ahead of his bid for the John Smith's Grand National.

'He's going the right way at the moment. He's fit enough and he's just doing his normal routine,' said trainer John Spearing.

The Racing Post Chase and Sky Bet Chase winner, owned and bred by former trainer Mercy Rimell, is generally available at 16-1 for the Aintree marathon on April 14.

The eight-year-old gelding is set to carry 10st 11lb.
