The Philip Dempsey-trained Simple Things made her previous experience count when keeping on best to win the Majestic Hotel Maiden Hurdle at Tramore.

Sent off 6/4f under Peter Smithers, the 107-rated daughter of Getaway was prominent throughout the extended wo-mile contest.

Pressing leader World As One between the final two flights, the JP McManus owned four-year-old kept on best on the run-in to get up for a neck win.

Philip Dempsey reported: "I'm delighted with that. She had been knocking on the door, so it's great to get the win with her. She had a nice run in Galway and she learned a lot from that, I'd say.

"She'll probably go back into handicap company now. She likes nice ground, so we'll look for something before the rain comes, although she's been on the go a while at this stage."
