Sir Allen team 'hope for the best' at Dublin Racing Festival Andrew Slattery's Sir Allen is set to take his chance in the Listed Timeless Sash Windows Handicap Hurdle on day two of the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown on Sunday. A dry weather forecast has encouraged connections to let the five-year-old Territories gelding run in this two-mile contest worth €150,000. Assistant trainer Brian Slattery said: "He runs on Sunday in the 150 handicap hurdle. "We are hoping for not a lot of rain - we saw on Monday that the going was heavy on the hurdle course, so hopefully it will dry up. "He worked yesterday and did a little blowout and is in good form. He worked well and we are happy with him. "We were disappointed in Limerick in the Listed handicap hurdle (in fourth), but he's in good form. "It is a very good race and we are in at the bottom and will take our chance and hope for the best. We are under no illusions, it is a proper race." Sir Allen has won twice over flights in Punchestown and Naas. The going on the hurdle track is now soft at the time of writing.
