Sir Isaac Newton is Aidan O'Brien's only representative after eight horses were confirmed for the Diamond Stakes at Dundalk on Friday evening.

The Ballydoyle maestro has saddled three of the last six winners of the Group Three contest, with multiple Group One winners Mastercraftsman (2009) and Declaration Of War (2012) both on the roll of honour.

Sir Isaac Newton looked set for a profitable campaign after an impressive victory at Gowran in May, but he has run just twice since, performing with credit in both the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Boomerang Stakes at Leopardstown.

The highest rated horse in the extended 10-furlong heat is Andrew Oliver's course and distance winner Panama Hat.

Runner-up in the American St Leger on his penultimate start, the four-year-old was last seen chasing home Fascinating Rock in Leopardstown's Enterprise Stakes.

Ger Lyons has three possible runners in Brendan Brackan, Sacrificial and Unsinkable.

Dermot Weld's Carla Bianca, the Kevin Prendergast-trained Mohaayed and Kevin Ryan's potential British challenger Flaming Spear complete the entries.
