Sky Lantern claimed another Group One prize when flying home to take the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.

Returned to the scene of her Classic success in the 1000 Guineas, she produced a performance as stylish as any of her previous victories.

The race was billed as a rematch with Elusive Kate, who beat Richard Hannon's Sky Lantern in the Falmouth Stakes in controversial circumstances, but John Gosden's filly ran below-par, drifting left under pressure and eventually finishing fourth.

Instead it was the improving Integral who gave Sky Lantern (7/4 favourite) the most to think about as she hit the front a furlong out, but the winner showed a characteristically electric turn of foot to win by a length.
