Trainer Andrew Slattery is expecting a big run from Sunchart in Sunday's Grade 3 Horse & Jockey Hotel Hurdle at Tipperary.

A Listed winner on the Flat, the eight-year-old has also been successful on a further two occasions over flights.

Although well beaten in the Galway Hurdle on his penultimate start, the gelding had previously finished third at this track in the Grimes Hurdle in July.

With testing conditions very much in his favour, Slattery can the son of Teofilo making his presence felt: “He’ll love the ground and the more rain that falls the better for him.

“He’s in great form, likes Tipperary and should run well.

“It’s a nice race, where else can you go with him.

“We might go for one of those Listed races later on, on the Flat. He likes Naas and likes going left-handed. He likes soft/heavy ground and it couldn’t be soft enough for him.

“He’s in great form and we’ll throw our hat in the ring and see what happens.”
