Slip to support Fantastic bid

Godolphin trainer Saeed bin Suroor has stressed the importance of deploying a pacemaker in assisting Fantastic Light in his clash with Galileo in Saturday`s King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot.

'The important thing for Fantastic Light is we need good pace in the race,' said bin Suroor today.

'Fantastic Light should have a good pacemaker in this big race and Give The Slip is the ideal horse. He does such a good job.

'It has worked twice, in Ireland (Tattersalls Gold Cup) and last time (Prince Of Wales`s Stakes) and Give The Slip is the perfect horse.

'And I`m sure we`ll find a nice race for Give The Slip in his own right.'

Bin Suroor reports Fantastic Light`s preparation to be going well.

He added: 'He cantered yesterday. He worked two days ago and before that on Saturday when Frankie rode him on the Limekilns he worked really very good. He is in good form.

'I think it is the race of the year.'
