Local trainer Pat Collins sent out Small Bucks to win the Join Racing TV Now With A Free Trial Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick.

A previous scorer at Cork this time last year, the five-year-old mare doubled her career tally here under Paddy O'Brien.

Sent off 11/1, the mare who also races in the trainers' own colours, asserted between the final two flights and, powered clear on the uphill climb to win by seven-and-a-half lengths.

Paddy O'Brien said: "She over-raced over the first couple - I suppose it was her first day without the hood, so she was just a bit lit up at the start.

"After she jumped a couple, she relaxed away. Once she relaxed, I was happy. I was taking her back and filling her the whole way.

"I was happy enough to aim at a good pace and from where I was, I was able to control her and fill her up.

"When I went by the horse in front of me going down the hill, she was a little bit idle down towards it (last flight). She had plenty left and took off well.

"Of course she can (go on from this) - she put in a good performance there and made light work of her rivals. She will jump a fence in time as well."
