The John Ryan-trained Smallcraftwarning (4/1) was a perfectly delivered winner from rider Dan King, who continues to impress in the Jack Duggan Memorial Handicap Hurdle. The nine-year-old has been busy this season and was turned out quickly after a success in Roscommon, but showed his love for racing with a never-say-die attitude in the closing stages to take victory away from Zoffman by three-quarters of a length for the We Win Farming Syndicate, which includes the likes of Irish NH and Colonel Braxton Tips on the platform X.

Speaking after the race, trainer John Ryan said: "He is a magic little horse and he wants to win. He'll go over fences now and is rated only 97 over fences.

"I think Dan King is a magical rider and the ride he gave that horse was phenomenal. He comes in to me every Monday and Friday and never lets me down."

He added: "Oliver Broderick and his family are with me a number of years and are involved in this new syndicate for a couple of years. They are grand lads and it is great for a little horse like this to do that.

"I previously won this race with Kilcarry Bridge when it was a Grade B handicap and was worth €50,000 (2017)."
