After dramatically going down by a short head at Roscommon on Monday, Beach Of Falesa got it right this evening as she ran out a comfortable winner of the Leopardstown Club Members Handicap.

Trained by Aidan O’Brien, owned by his wife Annemarie and ridden by their son Joseph, the 3yo daughter of Galileo, was sent off the short-priced 5/6 favourite.

She settled in mid-division early on and then made smooth headway to track the leaders in the early straight.

She hit the front inside the final furlong and cruised clear on the bridle to record an unextended two and a half-length success. Massyoun who finished third behind Jeremy’s Girl at Naas last evening, finished second at 20/1 for James Leavy and Sam James while Foinse was a short head back in third at 11/1 for Rory Cleary and Jim Bolger.

Winning rider Joseph O’Brien said afterwards: "She doesn’t find much off the bridle as we saw at Roscommon.

"She maybe looked more impressive than she was. She was running today of the same mark and she was entitled to be there or thereabouts."

The winner may bid to quickly follow up on this success as she holds two entries at Killarney next week.
