Snowcapped looks a filly on a steep upward curve following her victory in the Treacy Group Irish EBF Fillies Handicap at the Curragh this afternoon.

The Jessica Harrington-trained daughter of Churchill won on her return at Gowran Park 12 days ago and followed up on that maiden success on her handicap debut.

Shane Foley 's mount was held up after missing the kick slightly in the seven furlong contest and was pushed along from halfway.

She really started to motor going to the furlong pole and chased down front-runner Lovejoy inside the final 100 yards to score by three-and-a-quarter lengths.

“I'm absolutely delighted with her. She won at Gowran, where she was very green. This fillies handicap was coming up and looked like a good opportunity for her,” said Harrington.

“She likes give in the ground and she did it very nicely.

“They went very quick and I thought she was always going to get there. I think we could even go up to a mile-and-a-quarter with her as I think he stays very well.

“She's out of a sister to Snow Fairy, by Churchill, so she has the pedigree and she's a gorgeous looking filly.”
