Sole Power & Bewitched among Sprint Cup 16 Two Irish trained horses will take their chance in the Group 1, Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday. The Eddie Lynam trained Sole Power and the Charles O'Brien trained Bewitched feature among the sixteen declared for the six furlong contest. Last year's Nunthorpe Stakes hero Sole Power will be ridden by Keagan Latham and having scored over the course in the Group 2 Temple Stakes under Latham in May, the duo will bid to repeat the dose here. Bewitched is the only filly in the race and she will be ridden by Richard Hughes. This will be the first time for Hughes to ride the daughter of Dansili, who won the Listed Sandy Lane Stakes over the course and distance last May. Having won the Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown in May of this year she disappointed at Royal Ascot in the Golden Jubilee finishing fourteenth when sent off the 3/1 favourite. July Cup winner Dream Ahead and Golden Jubilee victor Society Rock will both be bidding for their second Group 1 of the season, while Delegator with Frankie Dettori aboard and Hoof It for Graham Gibbons look best of the rest.
