Soraaya claims Princess Margaret Soraaya (3-1) gave another boost to the form of Memory when taking the Group Three Princess Margaret Abu Dhabi Stakes at Ascot. Mick Channon's filly had been second to the 1000 Guineas favourite in the Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket and came with a strong run down the stands rail under Ryan Moore. Close to the line Soraaya wore down 2-1 favourite Margot Did, who finished runner-up to Memory in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. Channon said: "My normal route would be to go for the Lowther and then the Cheveley Park, but Ryan felt she would be better at seven (furlongs). "That would mean another clash with Memory in the Moyglare Stakes, but we're not frightened of taking her on again." The winner was given a 20/1 first show quote for next year's 1000 Guineas by Sky Bet.
