Splashing Out Lands Victory in Tramore for Griffin Splashing Out was an impressive eight-length winner for trainer Eoin Griffin, owner JP McManus and jockey Peter Smithers as she got back on track with a decisive victory, defeating the Charles Byrne-trained Eastmore. A slick display of jumping helped the mare, who went off at 6/1, as she produced a polished performance from the front and never looked in danger once asserting her authority. Speaking after the race, Griffin said: “She enjoyed herself out in front and I’m delighted to get that with her. “It’s coming towards the end of her season but they did a lovely job with the ground here and we were able to run on it. “We just decided to change things up with her. She has been frustrating to train, she’s had a few races won and kind of snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. “She did it well there and maybe with more positive tactics there might be another one in her. “They are doing a good job of watering so we’ll keep an eye on the ground. She’s fit and well, and she’s fresh as she hasn’t had a hard season. “She might appear out again.” Quotes from Gary Carson
