Three-year-old filly Sarahmae (5/2f) registered her second success today, scoring another course-and-distance Tipperary win for trainer Denis Hogan and jockey Joey Sheridan in the SIS Supporting Irish Racing Handicap.

The daughter of Magna Grecia had previously scored over today’s five-furlong distance in April and having missed the break badly on her latest start at Cork last week, today bounced smartly and won readily by 2.75 lengths from Beano Power

Hogan reported “she deserved that as she was unlucky at Cork last week, when she could possibly have won. She missed the start by a long way.

“She is obviously improving and likes an ease in the ground, which she hasn’t had since she won here last month. She looks an improving sprinter so hopefully can keep going and Joey gets a good tune out of her; he is riding very well.

“She has had a few quick runs so we’ll freshen her up and find a target. This is great and she is paying her way.”
