Stack checking rainfall for Thesecretadversary Trainer Fozzy Stack is mulling over softening ground conditions for his star performer Thesecretadversary, who has Group 1 engagements in both France and England over the coming weeks. The son of St Mark’s Basilica was one of two Royal Ascot winners for Stack in June, having landed the Jersey Stakes, and in July, bagged the top-level Prix Jean Prat at Deauville. Thesecretadversary reverted back up to a mile on his latest start, again at Deauville, in August when fading to finish sixth in the Prix Jacques le Marois, and now has a possible engagement in Longchamp’s Prix de la Foret on Arc weekend. Stack reports “it's a possibility Thesecretadversary could run in France next weekend but it depends on the weather. If the forecast is reasonably dry, we'll go and, if it's going to be wet, I'd prefer to try wet ground somewhere closer to home. It's a long way to go to France to find out he doesn't like soft ground. “He has a chance of going on it. His mother went on it and his grandmother went on it.
