After finishing second at Fairyhouse last week, Star of State was sent off 1/3 favourite for Leopardstown's Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden, over six and a-half furlongs, and made those odds look generous as she proved to be in a different league to her 10 rivals.

The Jaber Abdullah-owned juvenile made all under Dylan Browne McMonagle and readily went clear in the straight to thrash Not You Too by nine lengths.

Exciting Lowther Plan Emerges After Nine-Length Romp

Winning trainer Joseph O'Brien said "She was very impressive. We liked her going to Fairyhouse and we were very happy with that run.

"You don't really see more impressive maiden winners than that. I don't know how strong a race it was, or not.

"I'm delighted for State Of Rest (his Cox Plate and Prince Of Wales winner). Delighted for Mr. Jaber, it's our first winner for him. She looks a very exciting filly."

"Dylan said she's got plenty of pace for six (furlongs) and he thinks she'll probably have no trouble with seven. I think there's lots to look forward to.

"Mr. Jaber mentioned that we might go to the Lowther next month, so I suppose we'll see how she pulls up and then we'll make those plans."
