Star Strewn is on a break after running below par in the Listed BetMGM Spring Cup Stakes at Lingfield at the end of February.

The Starman filly created a good impression when obliging on stable debut in a fillies' maiden at Dundalk last month which had connections eyeing bigger targets.

She was headed over a furlong out in Lingfield and weakened before being hampered in the closing stages and eased.

Ado McGuinness said: "She ran last weekend in Lingfield and was very disappointing. Maybe it just came a wee bit quick, and it is a long drive too, but nothing has come to light.

"We just gave her a week off, and we'll giver her a break for a couple of weeks, and then we will kick on with her.

"We do like her and I think we will definitely get black-type on her - we will be very happy with her at some stage.

"We'll give her time off and see what happens."
